Unsatisfactory Response of Administration in Rape Case

This is a case in which a 17 years old Scheduled Caste girl in Begusarai district was raped by one Bablu Kumar on gun point with the help of an accomplice. The police acted only after the intervention of the local court, but did not immediately arrest the accused, who went on threatening the victim, her family and eye witnesses. He mounted all sort of pressures on the victim to withdraw the case.
